What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

San Antonio Air Service Experts is here with some of the most typical A/C problems in San Antonio.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your A/C equipment working but there isn’t cool air blowing, you might need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air blowing from your air conditioner is actually cool. Call San Antonio Air Service Experts and we’ll come out and check your refrigerant levels and look into why your system is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

One reason your condenser fan might not be rotating could be that it merely burned out and you have to replace it. Humidity could cause more condensation so a second issue to watch for is that the water is not draining correctly or that the drain is restricted. If you can confirm these matters, you may be able to find the issue; if not, give San Antonio Air Service Experts a call and we can find out what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and review your options to get your system working again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It sounds ridiculous but sometimes we overlook the obvious. If that doesn’t get your system cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is blocked, it could cause huge cooling problems. Another issue that could cause your insufficient cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. San Antonio Air Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your system is causing your troubles.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your air conditioner is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and in need of cleaning. Once the system is cleaned and all clogs removed, you may be back in business. Remember that humidity also plays a piece so if your home cools to the correct temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm up again, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the system is having to work harder to keep your home at a lower temperature.

No matter your issue, whatever AC trouble you run into, San Antonio Air Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your family comfortable quickly.
